Early Detection

At Melanoma UK, we believe that early detection significantly improves outcomes. Training health & beauty professionals, medical practitioners and others working closely with skin is essential to help spotting Melanoma and other skin cancers early.

  • Share them with colleagues and clients — awareness grows by spreading knowledge.
  • If you run a practice or salon, consider signing up your team for training,  then display information showing you’re trained in skin cancer awareness.

Supporting Healthcare Professionals

We recently partnered with The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) in supporting them to create resources to help all nursing staff identify suspicious moles and skin changes. This useful article and video guide was posted in The RCN Magazine site

Skcin – Accredited Training for Hair, Health & Beauty Professionals and Medical and Healthcare Practitioners

Our Partner Skcin delivers the MASCED courses (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection). MASCED is tailored to hair, health & beauty related industries and another MASCED PRO for medical and healthcare practitioners. These groups often see skin areas others can’t, their input in catching early signs can be lifesaving.

  • Teaches how to recognise warning signs of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers and help signpost to advice
  • Helps practitioners feel confident to raise concerns and guide / refer patients for expert advice.
