Melanoma UK announces Rachel Wallace as new Chief Executive
Melanoma UK is delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Wallace as its new Chief Executive Officer, following two years of significant organisational development and progress under the leadership of Tracy Paine MBE.
Rachel starts in post on 12 October and brings extensive experience in organisational leadership, transformation, communications, partnership-building and public service, with a strong track record of leading change, building relationships across sectors and bringing people together to deliver meaningful impact.
Her appointment comes at an important and exciting stage in Melanoma UK’s development. Rachel brings the leadership experience, strategic perspective and collaborative approach to build on the strong foundations now in place and help the charity realise its full potential.
During her two years as Chief Executive, Tracy has strengthened Melanoma UK’s governance, refreshed its strategy, built important relationships and helped put the charity on a stronger and more sustainable footing.

Her contribution has been significant, and she leaves Melanoma UK in a much stronger position for the future.”
Rachel Wallace said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Melanoma UK and looking forward to taking on the role of Chief Executive at such an important time for the charity.
“Throughout my career I have been motivated by the opportunity to bring people and organisations together to tackle important challenges, lead positive change and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
“Melanoma can have a profound impact on individuals and families. I’m particularly passionate about strengthening prevention and awareness, supporting earlier diagnosis and ensuring that the voices and experiences of people affected by melanoma are at the heart of what we do.
“I’m joining an organisation with strong foundations, an important mission and a brilliant community behind it. I’m looking forward to getting to know that community, building on the excellent work Tracy and the team have done and working together to make an even greater difference.”
Tracy Paine MBE said: “It has been a genuine privilege to lead Melanoma UK over the past two years, and I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.
“I’m particularly pleased to be handing over to Rachel. She brings an impressive breadth of experience, a strong track record of bringing people together and a collaborative approach, and I have every confidence that she will build on the strong foundations we have established.
“I’m grateful to everyone at Melanoma UK and across our wider community who has supported me during my time as Chief Executive. I wish Rachel, the team and everyone connected to Melanoma UK every success for the future.”
Rachel and Tracy will work together from 12 October until Tracy leaves on 30 October to support a smooth handover and continuity for the charity.
