Dermsoc Dundee doing great work at Open Day

On Saturday 27th September Dundee Dermatology Society held a stall at an Open Day at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School to help drive awareness of Melanoma and skin cancer.

Melanoma UK provided some materials to support their fantastic efforts on the day which included

Mini games (‘Dermatology triva’, myth vs fact and guess the skin lesion)

Educational demo only clinic props (punch biopsy and curette)

ABCDE  – how to  mole check at home

Sun safety tips

Posters, models and flyers

Very interestingly 90% of people they engaged had not heard of Melanoma or seen what it looks like. The team had great take up on the day and hope to continue to do more to support our charity and the fight against Melanoma.

The team produced a great instagram post and video reel which are well worth checking out.
