Melanoma UK continues to support leading research projects.
Our charity is delighted to announce two winners of our 2026 Grants Call.
Following numerous strong applications from all across the UK to our Grants call during May, our professional panel of senior scientists, clinicians and academics carefully assessed entries and made recommendations to the Melanoma UK board for the 2026 grant awards.
And the winners are …
The St. John’s Institute of Dermatology – Kings College London.
The project we are funding is headed by Professor Sophia N Karagiannis based at Guy’s Hospital in London and is entitled, “Decoding B Cell Signatures to Improve Immunotherapy Outcomes in Melanoma”
The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research – University of Oxford .
The project we are funding at Oxford is headed by Principal Investigator Professor Richard White and is entitled, “From diet to detection: how dietary fats reprogram melanoma cell communication and reveal new blood markers”.
We look forward to sharing more about these exciting projects and their progress in due course, as well as more updates on our 2025 grant award winners (see the last update here).
