CRUK’s National Medical Trial looking to increase recruitment

30 July 2026

'DETERMINE' is Cancer Research UK's national precision medicine trial for patients with rare and less common cancers.

This trial is looking at matching targeted treatment to people who have a rare cancer. It is also looking at matching targeted treatment to people with a common cancer that has a rare gene change (mutation) in the cancer cells.

This trial is for people whose cancer has come back or got worse despite treatment. It is also for people when there is no standard treatment available for them.

Patients can discuss DETERMINE with their treating doctor in the first instance if they think they may be eligible. Further information about the trial can be found on the DETERMINE website and ClinicalTrials.gov.
