NHS England announce new Clinical Commissioning Policy.
On 28th April NHS England have announced that Neoadjuvant followed by adjuvant pembrolizumab is recommended to be available as a routine commissioning treatment option for stage III macroscopic resectable melanoma in UK.
(The policy is restricted to 12 years and older only as there is insufficient evidence to confirm safety in patients under the age of 12 years of age).
Just ahead of ‘Melanoma May’ a month marked globally for increased awareness and focus on Melanoma, NHS England have published a new policy and accompanying papers to announce that UK patients finally have access to neoadjuvant immune therapy.
