On 23rd September following some contribution from us, The RCN have posted a useful guide and accompanying video in the RCN Magazine webpage. The article is pitched for all nursing staff to help them perform a mole check and utilises the ABCDE rule for checking lesions.
The RCN’s Callum Metcalfe-O’Shea, (Professional Lead for Long-Term Conditions) was clear in his endorsement “All nursing staff have a role to play in identifying moles and lesions that look suspicious and escalating any concerns to ensure safe care for their patients.”
