Zara’s Half Marathon for Melanoma

Late last year I had to have 4 moles removed, two of them came back that they needed to be re-operated on. The one on my upper arm was confirmed as a Melanoma and thankfully the other three were not. However I was also informed that I have atypical mole syndrome.
Reading around this condition has made me more and more aware of the need to check my moles on a regular basis.
I decided that I wanted to run the Leicester half marathon as I know it will be a real challenge to me, I am certainly not a person that currently enjoys running! However I know I will feel a huge sense of achievement as I hopefully cross the finishing line.
I want to spread the word about melanoma and the importance of checking your moles and skin for changes.
