Miles for Mum

 

This year's London Marathon is about so much more than crossing a finish line.

I'm running every one of the 26.2 miles for my beautiful mum, Chrissy.

Earlier this year, Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 primary melanoma of the lung. It turned our world upside down. She has faced every day with incredible courage, resilience and determination. Sadly, due to the impact treatment has had on her immune system, she is no longer able to continue treatment.

Watching someone you love battle cancer is something no family is ever prepared for. It has shown us just how precious every moment together really is.

I'm taking on this challenge to raise money for Melanoma UK in honour of my mum, and in support of everyone affected by this devastating disease. The work they do to raise awareness, support patients and their families, and fund vital research gives hope to so many.

If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Every pound raised will help support Melanoma UK's life changing work and will carry me through every mile of this marathon.
